Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils (aromatic plant extracts) often in massage and vaporisation, in skincare and body care to improve physical, emotional and psychological conditions.
I love it because it is very effective and can be incorporated so easily into your everyday routine, especially through your skin and body care as well as using essential oils to boost your immune system, for muscular aches and pains, in your household cleaning, for stress relief, in room scenting, in the bath, and 101 other uses.
One of the simplest and easiest ways to use essential oils for general health and wellbeing is to vaporise or diffuse them. The safest and most effective vaporisation tool is an electric diffuser. It maintains a regulated heat so that the essential oils keep their therapeutic benefits. It is also a very safe way to diffuse essential oils because there is no naked flame. You simply turn the diffuser on for 15 minutes to warm up and add up to six drops of essential oil. It is a good idea to have some ventilation if you are diffusing oils in a small space and use the 30 minutes on/ 30 minutes off rule.
